I’m a product designer and prototyper based in Northwest Ohio, currently Principal Product Designer at YouVersion, where I work on the Bible App.
Before pixels, there were chords. Music taught me how a story breathes in rhythm, harmony, and restraint. Interfaces work the same way: they unfold in time. Tempo, pacing, the pause before something resolves. People feel that timing even when they can’t name it.
Approach
Design shouldn’t just be seen. It should be felt.
I get work into interactive form as early as possible. Static mocks flatten what could be dimensional, responsive, and alive. Prototyping, for me, is a way of thinking. A way to discover ideas, not just demonstrate them.
Most of that happens in Origami Studio and Cursor/Claude, where an interaction can be tested in real time, on a real device. It’s reshaped how I solve problems.
Outside the screen
I’m a dad, a guitarist, a songwriter, a coffee drinker, and a sucker for old tube amps. Most weekends I’m with my family, or fishing.
