I discovered my path at the intersection of music and design — two disciplines rooted in timing, emotion, and dynamics. I spent the first part of my career in music, where I learned to appreciate how movement, feedback, and flow can shape a story or stir a feeling. I’m drawn to the expressive potential of interactive design for the same reason. I love bridging the physical and digital, crafting experiences that resonate emotionally — much like a great piece of music does.
philosophy
I believe design should be felt, not just seen.
That’s why I push to get designs into interactive form as early as possible. Static mocks only go so far — they flatten what could be dimensional, responsive, and alive. Prototyping is a way of thinking for me — a way to discover ideas, not just demonstrate them.
I’m especially obsessed with Origami Studio by Facebook. It’s become my favorite playground for rapid exploration and prototyping. Being able to test interactions in real time — on real devices — has reshaped how I approach creative problem solving.

I’m a dad, guitarist, songwriter, coffee drinker, and a sucker for old tube amps. When I'm not creating, I love spending time with my family and fishing.

Sitka was a Canadian outdoor lifestyle brand grounded in sustainability, craftsmanship, and West Coast adventure. Before rebranding to ecologyst, Sitka championed ethical production and connection to nature through its products and storytelling.
I helped design and launch Sitka’s Shopify-based ecommerce experience—focused on clean aesthetics, purposeful navigation, and a shopping journey that reflected the brand’s values. The result was a site that merged utility with authenticity, serving a community drawn to conscious commerce and quality design.
